Meet Karen
I began providing Organizational Effectiveness Consulting after spending over 15 years as a clinician and coach in the behavioral health industry. While I was very much engaged as a clinician and coach I became aware of a consistent theme with my clients. Over 85% of the clients I had worked with or still working with were presenting with many issues that were directly linked to the culture in their work environment. My clients and I made great strides, and in a brief period of time clients returned feeling beaten down, with a complete loss of ability to engage with the world around them. I eventually recognized that while some of my clients developed skills necessary to resist the energy of a toxic work environment, many more were absorbing and becoming their environment, toxic! My business is driven by the belief that every human being must have a sense of purpose and direction to feel energized and engaged in their work, to reach their highest potential as professionals. I developed an approach to Organizational Effectiveness that works across all industries. I have had great success with my services across many facets of the healthcare industry, industrial organizations, and educational institutions. My success has been demonstrated by outcome measures as well as, individual and organizational testimony. I continue to maintain a coaching and clinical practice. My approach to my clinical and coaching practice is consistent with my consulting practice simply because it is successful. |

Philosophy and Principles
We recognize that while an organization may have the most efficient systems and processes in place the major barriers to success is the level of engagement of their employees. Without the highest level of engagement organizations are at extreme risk for developing a culture of Corporate Catabolism that results in missing major deadlines effecting organizational goals. Corporate Catabolism is created through the combined energy of the employees. Catabolic corporations are created by individual’s high stress, focusing on what is wrong as opposed to what is right, blaming of others, and misinterpretations. People have extraordinary influence over each other, consciously and unconsciously, thus developing powerful, engaging, high-energy leaders can shift the energy within an organization and actually change the group dynamic and group “think”. This bottom up approach meets the top down efforts to create a coaching based leadership culture. |

Why is our approach more effective?
Our services and programs are provided by Organizational Effectiveness Consultants who are also experienced behavioral health professionals and maintain a clinical license. Our consultants will focus on employee interactions and how they impact the workplace. Our Coaches are Certified Professional Coaches who have had extensive training. All of our coaches have graduated from the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC), an ICF-accredited Coaching Program, with over 340 hours of course-related work and hands-on training. |
